SEASONAL FARM ASSISTANT (PART-TIME)
April to October 2026 (approximately 24 weeks)

Lovely Light Flower Farm is seeking a dependable, hardworking Seasonal Farm Assistant to help grow and harvest premium specialty cut flowers during our busiest season.
This is a physically active, hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys meaningful outdoor work, early mornings, and being part of a small team producing high-quality cut flowers.
About the Role
You will assist with daily farm operations including planting, harvesting, flower processing, field maintenance, and general farm tasks. Work is directed daily and varies depending on weather and crop needs.
This is a W-2 employee position with defined seasonal dates.
Responsibilities:
Harvesting, hydrating, bunching and storing stems
Planting plugs, tubers and bare roots
Weeding and field maintenance
Assisting with irrigation
Bed preparation and crop transitions
Supporting seasonal farm projects as needed
Requirements:
Reliable, consistent attendance
Ability to repeatedly bend, squat, and carry buckets of water
Ability to lift 40+ lbs when needed
Comfortable working early mornings outdoors in changing weather
Willing to work on your feet for extended periods
Cares about doing quality work
Team player with a positive attitude
Interested in learning about small-scale farming operations
Previous farm or garden experience is helpful but not required. We value work ethic and character above experience.
Position Details:
20–30 hours per week
Approximately 24-week term (seasonal)
Hourly pay ($14 - 18 based on experience)
Schedule determined weekly based on farm needs
